Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Contact our pharmacy team.

How does the online consultation work?

You complete a confidential online health questionnaire (about 5–10 minutes) covering your medical history, current medicines and weight-loss goals, and upload a photo ID and a full-length photo. One of our UK-registered prescribers personally reviews your answers, usually within 24 hours. If treatment is safe and suitable, your medicine is dispensed by our pharmacy and delivered the next working day. If it isn't suitable, we'll explain why and refund you in full.

Am I eligible for weight-loss treatment?

Treatment is generally suitable for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 and above with a weight-related health condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or sleep apnoea. Our prescribers make the final clinical decision based on your full consultation — a consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Why do you need my ID and a full-length photo?

Because we never meet you in person, regulators expect us to verify who you are and confirm that your reported height and weight are accurate. Your photos are reviewed only by our clinical team, stored securely, and never shared. This protects you and ensures prescribing is safe.

How is my medication delivered?

Orders are dispatched by our pharmacy team after prescriber approval, usually the same working day. Injectable pens travel in temperature-controlled (cold-chain) packaging with next-working-day tracked delivery, in plain, unbranded boxes. You'll receive tracking by email.

What does it cost, and are there hidden fees?

The price you see covers everything: the clinical review, your medicine, ongoing check-ins and delivery. There is no separate consultation fee. Full pricing for every dose is published on our pricing page — the price changes as your dose changes, so please review the whole dose ladder before starting.

What if the prescriber decides treatment isn't right for me?

You receive a full refund, automatically, and a clear explanation. Where appropriate we'll suggest alternatives or recommend speaking to your GP.

Is my health data safe?

Yes. Health information is special-category data under UK GDPR. We collect it only with your explicit consent, store it encrypted on UK/EU servers, restrict access to our clinical team, and never sell it. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Can I switch to you from another provider?

Yes. If you're already on Mounjaro or Wegovy with another provider, tell us your current dose and history in the consultation. Our prescriber will confirm the safest way to continue — usually staying at your current dose rather than restarting.

What are the common side effects?

The most common side effects of GLP-1 medicines like Mounjaro and Wegovy are nausea, constipation, diarrhoea and reduced appetite, especially in the first weeks or after a dose increase. Most settle with time. Serious side effects are rare but include pancreatitis — the patient information leaflet lists everything, and our pharmacists are available to talk through any concerns.

Who is behind this service?

EA Pharma Group is a UK pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Prescribing decisions are made by UK-registered independent prescribers, and every order is dispensed by our own pharmacy team — we are not a marketplace.
